The Sound of Music

(an adaptation)

Music by Richard Rogers
Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II

  • In pre-World-War-II Austria, Maria is sent by Mother Abbess to act as governess for Captain Von Trapp's seven children. She introduces them to the joys of music, and softens the Captain's heart. Meanwhile political storm clouds are gathering and the family must decide what to do.
  • The memorable score includes Do-Re-Mi, My Favorite Things, So Long, Farewell, Climb Every Mountain, and Maria.
  • An entertaining ensemble show with unforgettable songs, terrific dance numbers, and fun parts for everyone.
